Install gotchas February 1, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Based on my recent 'less than pleased about it' experience with the install and customer 'support': If you have other Norton SystemWorks or Norton AntiVirus products installed already you need to go online and get the Norton removal tool to first remove them. Add/Remove, or uninstalls won't get rid of everything required. Beware it will show you all the other products besides Works and NAV that will be removed as well, no options. So you may have to re-install other products again too!. Works installer gives three choices, Works, anti virus, and checkit diagnostics. Install Works ONLY first, and make sure to let it reboot(s), and make sure to run, or let run the Works auto updater. If this does not run before anti virus install, anti virus install fails stating it can't find a file named LUsetup.exe in a "/program files/symantec/update" folder. For me twice! Once on my own try, and once as per directions from 'support'. After Works stops doing it's thing after reboots, then run the anti virus install and it ...should go ok. It will reboot(s), and run the auto updater as well.
