This hot, latest installment of the Nancy Drew game series includes the best parts of the first four books and takes place in the same time period – welcome to 1930’s America and the Great Depression. A friend of Nancy’s asks her to visit the town of Titusville, where another friend, Emily Crandall, lives. Emily owns an inn and she's in a jam; she's low on cash and nearly bankrupt. However, she does have one hope of saving the inn: a neighbor died and left his money to her in his will. Or, did he?!

A Mysterious Warning!

The Possible Suspects

Titusville is filled with a cast of characters. Here are some who may be responsible for the strange occurences Nancy encounters as she tries to discover who really inherited the money left behind by Josiah Crowley:

Jim Archer

Richard Topham

Emily Crandall

Jane Willoughby

Jim is a good-natured, but secretly desperate, businessman trying to make it through the end of the Depression. The bank he owns is teetering on the brink of failure. Jim has been helpful to Emily and her mom, but he’s desperate for money. How far would he go to save his bank?

Richard is a self-proclaimed expert on ESP and telekinesis and lives in the house that once belonged to Josiah Crowley. How did he inherit Josiah’s estate and money? He runs the “School for the Study and Development of Paranormal Powers,” but is his act just a hoax?

Emily runs the Lilac Inn with the help of her guardian while she mourns the recent loss of her mother. She is plagued by strange occurrences: objects on the wall move, whispers call from shadows, things mysteriously disappear and then reappear. Is Emily just stressed out or are things really amiss?

Gloria Crandall, Emily's mother, asked Jane to look after her daughter in case anything happened to her. She's doing her best to help Emily, but she doesn't know much about raising kids or running an inn. Could Jane have a hidden agenda?

I love Nancy Drew Games! This one was alright! i wouldn't say it was the best my any means but it was good. I didn't really like the driving part. It wasn't as fun as i thought but still fun yet challenging.

This game was unbeleivible. From finding a treasure to riding a horse, this game is for all Nancy Drew fans, old or young, adventurous or not. It was long, hard but so fun! There are cool features that make you feel as if you are in the game. There are many puzzles, but all very interesting and fun! I'd say this game was pretty hard, it takes a lot of brains to figure out the puzzles, but alot are just trial and error. Don't forget, you can always go to the Herinteractive website for hints and tips!

I'll start off with the history. It was so incredible! You get to read clues a man hid for his love 2 centuries ago to find his 'treasure'! His tale is sad, but his clues are fun to follow! His clues take you everywhere, from a ghost town, to a rocky cliff, to a simple desert path! You also get to play a few games and do puzzles to get his next clue.

The setting was amazing, I actually thought I was in the desert! You get to snoop in a ghost town, a ranch, a shop, and more! Great graphics, I'd say even better then the ones in Curse Of Blackmoore Manor and Secret Of The Old Clock! (The 2 Nancy Drew games made after this one.)

Overall, this game is a must have! It's definately my favourite! There are many cool things you vcan do, like` ride a horse and hunt for arrowheads. This game is a bit scary, but only at the ghost town. (No, there are no ghosts!) The ending was especially fun! So, in the end, get this game! It's totaly worth the cost and wait.

First, let me start off by saying I am a huge fan of the Nancy Drew game series. Now for the disappointing news - Secret of the Old Clock just isn't "up to par". Those of you that have already played will know exactly what I mean by that. After months of waiting and the fact that this is Nancy Drew's 75th anniversary, I really did expect a better game to come from the programmers. Come on guys you know you could have done better!

Her Interactive has tried to freshen things up a bit by having SOTOC take place during the Depression era, but unfortunately they forgot to do the same with the puzzles and the interface. With the exception of the Mini-Golf Course in this game (a good idea in theory), all we get in this installment is more of the same, old, non-interesting puzzles that all of us adventure gamers have seen a thousand times before. And while we are on the subject of the Mini Golf Game, I think the programmers need to do a lot of retooling of the putting element, as there isn't even enough room to make a decent attempt. And don't even get me started on the Roadster and the endless driving about town nonsense.

Where are the interesting characters, storylines, intrigue, plots, and intuitive puzzles? I suggest that Her Interactive and Atari think about making a much longer game for those loyal fans out there that love the Nancy Drew concept. How about a 40 hour game next time - huh? Please stay away from just rushing to get the next game to market, I prefer quality in my purchases. Better luck next time - I hope.
