Editorial Reviews:

From Amazon.co.uk
Nancy Drew has always been a great heroine, but she seemed kind of, well, stuffy. No more: Nancy gets down to the dirty work of crime-solving in the excellent and engaging Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned for Danger. Nancy's job is to investigate death threats coming to Rick Arlen, a hunky TV soap star. The plot is straightforward enough; what the software does really well is ambience: the first-person perspective puts you in the centre of the crime scenes and the inventive game design lets you pick up objects for investigation and keep notes on things you've found.

Occasionally you come across another person, and it can often be surprising. In the style of Choose Your Own Adventure, you're given a choice of questions to ask and what you choose affects what you learn. The people seem a little stiff in conversation (and, to be honest, in the graphics), but in a strange way, it helps increase the creepiness factor--an uptight verbal response makes sense, considering subjects are being interviewed about a serious crime.

There's real excitement in finding key elements and extracting just the right piece of information from an unwitting witness. Nancy Drew, first created as a female version of the Hardy Boys in 1929, has weathered fashion and tastes well through the work of Her Interactive. Girls who are too old for "kids' stuff" will find that Nancy Drew: Stay Tuned for Danger can help fulfil their need for adventure. --Jennifer Buckendorff

Enter the game, and you see the world through Nancy Drew's eyes. As you explore the detailed 3-D surroundings, you meet incredibly lifelike characters who all have a secret to hide. It's up to you to crack the case by piecing together information from conversations, mind-twisting puzzles, hidden messages, and other clues you uncover along the way. And if you get stuck, you can always call Nancy's best friends for helpful hints and additional clues.

If you loved Secrets Can Kill, we know you'll love Stay Tuned for Danger, the second in the Nancy Drew interactive mystery series.

5 out of 5 stars Stay Tuned For Danger   June 20, 2004
This game was so much fun! In Nancy's second mystery, she is in New York visiting a family friend who is also a star on the famous TV show Light of Our Love. Her co-star is receiving threatening letters and you, as Nancy Drew, must figure out who the culprit is. I thought this game was so neat. I love the original music that this game has, as well as each other game in the series. It's catchy, neat, and sometimes creepy! I hope you like this game as much as I did.

5 out of 5 stars :::STAY TUNED FOR FUN:::::   June 14, 2004
i just love this game!!! its graphics are good, the plot is good, everythings good! the story goes:

nancy drew is visiting a friend of her aunts, mattie jensen, in new york, and in the beggining it seems calm and peaceful, yet a bit creepy at times, but exiting as you meet the stars and see how a tv studio looks! but soon, fun turns to terrible danger! a lot of exiting stuff happens, and if you thought this game would be easy, well, you've got that wrong! all and all, a great game for anyone over eight(though i got one when i was like six or seven)! A+++++++

4 out of 5 stars full of danger   May 26, 2004
This game is not the best in the series (my favorites are Danger on desepiton island and message in a haunted mansion) but it comes close. Its hard but fun and you cant stop in the middle. One of my favorite parts was the bomb part. I also like how there are so many people to talk to and so many places to explore. The prop room has lots of neat stuff. Buy this game!!

5 out of 5 stars First Nancy Drew and LOVED it!   February 14, 2004
Stay Tuned For Danger...hmmm, where should I begin?
You ever wanted to go to New York? Well, here's your chance. Except this is no vacation.
Nancy is called to Mattie Jensen's house, who is a soap star. Turns out, TV's hottest soap star, Rick Arlen, is recieving death threats. You then figure out...this is only the beginning. Many characters (and maybe all) seem like they could have committed the crime. Rick has an ego the size of Texas...and he wants to begin a career in movies? Lillian is the director of the soap...and is unusually crabby? Tons of suspects, many motives...and who exactly was it? Klieg lights fall and bombs are defused in this second Nancy Drew game.
I'm ten and this game took me a week to beat (junior detective mode). Spooky in some parts...like the set and the climaxing finale! I was on the edge of my seat! Another exciting part...an exploding device...in RICK'S ROOM!!!!! DEFUSE IT AND QUICKLY!!!!!My first Nancy Drew game and definitely not my last.
I recommend this game to kids eight and up...maybe ten, now that I think of it, because it is kind of tough. Anyways, buy this game NOW NOW NOW!!

4 out of 5 stars much better   November 22, 2003
